Introducing hCore

Unknown Borders operates within its “UB Network” systems, where hCore is at its core of this. It aligns all systems developed by Unknown Borders and manages resource flows. Today hCore has become the brand name for many of our services that we offer our clients, some of which you can read more about below.

hCore Managed Hosting

This service is for the client which is unable or can’t afford to have their own IT Department/employee to manage their website(s). We evaluate each client on a case by case basis, in which we will create a custom contract that suits your needs specifically.

Advantages of hCore Managed Hosting

  • We handle all maintenance, updates, etc. of your site.
  • Your site is checked on a 5min interval, on its availability and performance, if any alerts are raised, it is sent to our support team which will handle it in a “First Come” basis.
  • All sites are hosted in Azure Cloud, which is owned by Microsoft. This will enable your site to be accessible from anywhere on the planet in a timely manner.

hCore Foundation

All websites developed by Unknown Borders are created with hCore at its core. As mentioned above, this allows us greater control over the resources of each website. hCore Foundation includes a state-of-the-art library of tools and utilities.

hCore Servers

From time to time, we offer game servers for our community members, these games are not required to by our own. However, they are all connected in the sense, that every player joins an hCore server with an UB account.

This provides us with easy tracking and whitelisting of active players. This includes the ability to punish those that may attempt to cheat or use third-party tools to gain an unfair advantage. Any user caught breaking our rules and/or terms of service, will not only loose their access to the specific server, but to the entirety of UB Network.

If you wish to participate in one of our game servers, you can monitor this section of our community forums.

Note: Purchased products are still available to users who have had their access to UB Network be revoked.

hCore Cardinal

Cardinal is a new service which will soon become available to all users of UB Network through Essera. For now, we will be purposely vague with any information of its capabilities. But to give you an idea, its working name was “social engine”.

Note: No reference to the movie is intended.

A Bit of History

hCore, also known as ”The Hive”, was originally built by Nikolaj Thorup Jensen as a security platform which enabled users to communicate within a highly secure end-to-end encryption. As time passed, it grew into a foundation of services that would later enable Unknown Borders to create high-efficiency applications that had the capability to operate on a machine level, or rather directly with the chipset of a computer. This was a huge advantage as it bypassed many of the layers that we normally operate within through Microsoft Windows.

The very first iteration of hCore was created in 2006, when the developer was but a young adult. Since then, it has undergone several iterations and grown in size exponentially.
